A Title Deed is the official record or certificate showing registered ownership of a property.

What It Is

In Dubai, the title deed is the ownership instrument issued and verifiable through the Dubai Land Department and related registration channels. It identifies the property and the registered owner and is central to most sale, mortgage, gift, and inheritance transactions.

What It Is Not

It is not a sale contract, an off-plan registration certificate, or a reservation document. A signed agreement may create rights or obligations, but the title deed records registered ownership.

Where It Sits In Process

The title deed sits at the end of a successful registration act and at the start of most due-diligence exercises. It is the document checked before sale, mortgage, gift, inheritance, or ownership verification work begins.
