Trakheesi

Trakheesi is the Dubai Land Department’s system for issuing permits related to real estate activity, including the advertising permits brokers need to market properties. It is the platform that authorises and tracks property advertisements and certain broker permissions.

Where you’ll see it

You’ll see Trakheesi behind the permit numbers on legitimate property adverts. Brokers use the system to obtain permission to advertise a specific listing, which generates the permit number displayed to the public.

Why it matters

Trakheesi brings order and accountability to property marketing, reducing fake and duplicate listings. For consumers, it underpins the permit number that signals an advert is genuine and authorised.

What it is not

Trakheesi is the system; the Trakheesi permit is the specific authorisation it issues for a listing. It is also not the broker’s licence, which is a separate authorisation.

Example

To advertise a property, a broker obtains a permit through Trakheesi; the resulting permit number appears on the listing so the public can see it is authorised.
