Rera Broker Licence

A RERA broker licence is the authorisation a real estate broker must hold to operate legally in Dubai. Licensed brokers are registered with the regulator and carry a broker identification, signalling they are qualified and accountable.

Where you’ll see it

You’ll see a broker’s RERA registration referenced when engaging an agent for example a broker card or registration number. Working through a licensed broker means dealing with someone operating within the regulated framework.

Why it matters

Using a licensed broker protects clients: they are trained, registered and subject to regulatory standards and recourse. Dealing with an unlicensed operator carries real risk, so checking a broker’s licence is a sensible first step.

What it is not

A RERA broker licence is not the company trade licence alone, and it is not the advertising permit (Trakheesi) needed to market a specific property. It is the broker’s professional authorisation.

Example

A buyer confirms their agent holds a valid RERA broker licence before engaging them, ensuring they are working with a registered, accountable professional.
